History
The palace was founded in 1468 by Marco and Girolamo Molin, sons of Paolo Molin. The noble Molin family produced a Doge for the Republic, Francesco Molin (1646-1655), as well as important literary figures and skilled soldiers. Among them, Filippo Molin is remembered for an act of bravery during the thirty-year war of Candia against the Turks, when he extracted a poisoned arrow that had wounded him, dipped it in his own blood to write his will, which he intended to be read in the Senate. The palace has recently undergone renovation and has been divided into luxurious apartments.
